PS Plus Free Offer Explained

The PS5 version is included with PlayStation Plus until September 2, 2026. The store lists no tier restriction, so an Essential membership is enough. A few things to know:

  • Claim it during the offer window — free monthly games are only claimable while the offer is active. Once claimed, the game stays in your library.
  • It is the PS5 version — the free copy is for PlayStation 5. If you also play on PC or Switch 2, that is a separate purchase.
  • Online co-op requirements — playing online on PlayStation can be subject to platform requirements. Check the PlayStation Store for the current details, as they can change.

Which Platform Should You Buy?

Should I buy the Mac version on Steam or the Mac App Store?

Steam, unless you have a reason not to. Both cost the same and play the same, but the Mac App Store build has no Game Center support, which means it can never show the list of friends’ active sessions. Do I need to buy the game on each platform?

Yes. One purchase covers one platform. There is no cross-buy — a Steam copy does not give you the PS5 or Switch 2 version.

Is Big Walk on Xbox?
